ABOUT FIBRUS
Fibrus was founded and launched in September 2018. The telecommunications provider seeks to transform the digital infrastructure of rural and regional areas of the UK, by investing in excess of £100m to bring full fibre broadband to homes and businesses in these towns and villages.
About The Problem
At Concara, we worked with Fibrus, who had a clear vision to develop an innovative SHEQ App which provided an instant and interactive experience and met all their SHEQ needs at the click of a button. Fibrus required an app that would improve efficiency for their business while also ensuring they were meeting both their statutory and ISO safety and environmental standard requirements.
The app also had to facilitate the needs of their users and have the flexibility to continuously grow along with their business needs. Fibrus’ second objective was to ensure the app was a one stop shop for all their SHEQ needs. So, it was vital to Fibrus that we had the flexibility at Concara to develop and host all Integrated Management Systems (ISO Standards) within the one app.

Concara Digital developed a People-Centric app tailored to Fibrus’ business needs - user friendly, engaging, interactive and easily accessible for all employees and contractors.
We took this approach so the app would be viewed as a positive asset to the business from a compliance perspective, and believed that this would drive improvement in their safety culture.

Our solution won the "Best Use of Digital Construction in SHEQ" at the 2022 Digital Construction Live Awards
Fibrus were recently awarded ISO Certification for 9001, 14001 & 45001 by utilisng their bespoke system. The UKAS external auditor even went as far as stating it was the best system he had ever seen!!
Fibrus have a multiplatform solution which has made massive improvements in their corporate governance and compliance with continuous improvement. Fibrus truly have a digital system that keeps them compliant and allows their teams to continuously develop it to the needs of the business.
People quickly identified the app as a real game changer. In terms of the ability to document compliance and share risk and compliance information quickly - all without the burden of e-mails, photocopying, scanning, etc.
Evidence of this includes 80,000 page views since its launch. As an example, within the first 3 months of the app launch in May 2021, Fibrus had a significant increase in the number of compliance inspections completed using our app.
